UGANDA - MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON

Uganda is a landlocked country straddling the equator in East Africa. It is home to Lake Victoria and many of the world's last surviving Mountain Gorillas.

These gorillas represent perhaps the most powerful eco-image that the country has to offer. There is however much more to Uganda than this; it has a fantastic climate, an ever-changing and beautiful landscape, and people who are honest, polite and genuinely pleased to help. For the visitor, highlights of any visit to Uganda could include: gorilla tracking, other primate tracking, i.e. chimps and colobus monkeys, white water rafting on the River Nile, climbing The Ruwenzoris or Mount Elgon, cultural events and birding.
