CRUISE IN STYLE
Quite simply this is the best Nile Cruise to be had. The best boat, the best guides, the best crew, the best food and probably the best fun!
Day 1: Cairo / Aswan
Fly to Aswan where you board the ‘Sun Boat IV' for your Nile
cruise. After lunch sail around the Aswan islands in a felucca.
Day 2: Aswan / Kom Ombo / Edfu
After visiting the Aswan High Dam, take a boat ride to the romantic and
majestic Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika. Lunch is served on the
‘Sun Boat IV' as you sail to Kom Ombo and the Temple of the crocodile
god Sobek and the sun god Haroeris. At a themed “Egyptian Night”
costume party, a lavish buffet of regional specialties, followed by
music and dancing, is in store as you cruise to Edfu. ‘
Day 3: Edfu / Esna / Luxor
Visit the Temple of Horus, the best preserved Greco-Roman temple in Egypt. Later, tour the Temple of Khnum at Esna.
Day 4: Luxor
Journey to the West Bank of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, a vast
City of the Dead, where magnificent tombs (including that of King Tut)
were carved into the desert rocks. Rising out of the desert plain as a
series of terraces, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Ancient Egypt's
first female pharaoh) merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that
surround it. On the way back to the Nile River, pass the famed Colossi
of Memnon, known in ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at
dawn.
After breakfast visit Luxor's grand temples, beginning with the Temple of Luxor. Next, see the awe-inspiring Temple of Karnak, a huge complex more than 2,000 years in the making. Lunch is served at the Victorian style Old Winter Palace Hotel, near the Temple of Luxor before leaving for Cairo.
