Garonga Safari Camp is an exclusive twelve bed safari camp situated west of the Kruger National Park in the Makalali Private Game Conservancy. The camp’s six Bedouin-style luxury en-suite rooms are surrounded by ebony trees on the banks of a dry watercourse, with all commanding beautiful views. Set at the foot of the Drakensberg Mountains, this is a wilderness sanctuary for those seeking to nourish and rejuvenate their souls.

Amenities at the camp include an open plan living area, wine cellar, pretty swimming pool and a sala for aromatherapy sessions. Garonga offers guests an intimate wildlife experience that is conducted at your own pace. Whether engaged in tracking animals on foot o0f by vehicle, learning about the trees, birds and the ways of nature or sleeping out under the stars, Garonga has created a safari for the soul. The reserve has four of the big five animals.

Garonga’s sleep-out deck offers a wonderful soft adventure experience. Here you have the opportunity to sleep out on your own or with your partner on an elevated deck with stunning views of the bush. You are dropped off for the night with a picnic hamper, drinks box and radio, and with a wash basin and toilet close at hand. Spend the night surrounded by the sounds of the bush and wake feeling truly energised.
