The world-renowned Singita Private Game Reserve, has now successfully won a tender for a 15000 hectare concession within the boundaries of the game rich Kruger National Park. This wilderness area, teeming with large herds of game, is east of Satara Rest Camp and adjacent to the Mozambique border. The land comprises elevated outcrops of the Lebombo Mountain Range, overlooking the Nwanetsi River at its confluence with the Sweni River and the savannah plains beyond.
Singita Lebombo, a new twenty one roomed lodge is scheduled to open in December 2002. Two secluded clusters of elevated, luxurious guest units, one of fifteen, the other of six, will occupy the rocky promontories commanding dramatic views of the river. Each lodge will offer contemporary, eco-friendly yet luxurious accommodation, with scenic vistas and a range of dining, lounge and relaxation areas. A health spa will be built at a lower elevation to the main development at the confluence of the rivers. Fully trained therapists will offer a complete range of treatments.
Open Land Rover safaris and informative guided walking safaris will be operated by experienced rangers and trackers. This exciting new lodge will broaden and complement the experience already offered and enjoyed by guests from around the world at the award-winning Singita Private Game Reserve's Ebony and Boulders Lodges. Being within easy reach of one another by road and air, a combined stay at both lodges will offer a memorable, contrasting African experience.
