Chief's Camp - Okavango - Botswana

Chief's Camp is situated on a private concession towards the northwestern tip of Chief's Island, forming part of the Mombo area in the Moremi Game Reserve. Mombo is synonymous with excellent game viewing, which is in part due to thick vegetation and mineral rich soils, allowing the area to sustain large numbers of plains game and predators. The area is also home to the only wild white rhino population in Botswana.

A combination of modern technology and traditional methods, Chief's Camp offers luxurious comfort whilst creating minimum impact on the environment. The camp has been carefully crafted around a spectacular landscape, under canopies of jackalberry, sausage and rain trees – all of which guarantee abundant birdlife and primate activity.Chief's offers twelve luxury en suite rooms with private viewing decks. The spacious rooms have been decorated in a contemporary ethnic African theme, assuring guests of privacy, comfort and seclusion.

Activities include drives in custom designed open Land Cruisers, and seasonal mokoro excursions.Skilled guides have years of bush experience and a special talent for sharing knowledge with guests. A research library and curio shop are located in the main lounge are, and a swimming pool is available to cool off from the African sun.

Children 9 years and over are accepted at Chief's Camp, but there are no family rooms and parents will have to split up and share with children.
