Mombo Camp - Okavango - Botswana

Mombo Camp is the flagship of Wilderness Safaris and is tucked away just off the northwestern tip of Chief's Island within the Moremi Reserve. Sometimes an island on its own and sometimes joined to Chief's Island, the region is constantly changed by the ebb and flow of the Delta's waters. The camp is deep within the Moremi Reserve, beneath huge trees overlooking a floodplain, and is the ultimate wilderness experience with impeccable attention to detail, the highest standards of service, and a large dose of luxury!

Accommodation is in nine luxurious twin bedded East African style tents, with en suite facilities and solar heated water and solar powered lights. The dining, lounge and pub area is on a raised teak deck overlooking the floodplains, and there is a swimming pool in which to cool off. Game drives are in open 4x4 vehicles, and experienced guides accompany guests on interesting, educational walks. Large concentrations of wildlife occur, making Mombo one of the highest quality game destinations on earth. As well as including all of the large predators, and in particular leopard, the area is home to a proliferation of birdlife.
