When Count von Schwerin commissioned the Castle Heinitzburg for his fiance, Margarethe von Heinitz in 1914, love was his inspiration and elegance was his achievement. The current owners have preserved and complimented this vision to achieve luxurious charm.

Accommodation at Hotel Heinitzburg is in spacious and generously appointed en-suite rooms. Each room is fully equipped with air-condition/heating units, direct telephone lines, electronic safes, mini-bars, televisions with cable
channels and music facilities. The poolside deluxe rooms have both a shower and bath.

Leo's At the Castle is the hotel's gourmet restaurant, overlooking the skyline of
the capital city, serving a variety of foods ranging from international
to French à la carte.

The Garden Terrace offers superb views over the city and the surrounding mountains. Meals, coffee and cakes from the patisserie are served here throughout the day. Snacks and sundowners are also served here so that guests can enjoy the spectacular sunsets.

The hotel's wine cellar (which is an ideal venue for small group gatherings) has a superb collection of South African vintage wines and is built into the mountain rock.

The Knight's Room is an exclusive venue, situated in the original castle, featuring authentic historical artwork.
