Sossusvlei Lodge - Sossusvlei & Namib - Namibia

Sossusvlei Lodge is nestled in a small valley in the Namib Desert close to the gate of The Namib Naukluft National Park, home to the awe inspiring dunes at Sossusvlei. Accommodation is in basic en suite tented bungalows that are painted in earthy hues, harmonising with their surroundings; some light blue, some ochre, and some orange. All rooms all have a small private veranda - wonderful in the summer evenings and for sunrises and sunsets. The central reception area houses a bar, swimming pool, dining room, barbecue boma and a tour desk. There is a waterhole in front of the property that is shaded during the day and lit by a small floodlight in the evenings.

As the lodge is close to the park gates it is relatively simple for guests wishing to be on the dunes as the sun rises to be in position.
