Ongava Lodge - Etosha - Namibia

Ongava Game Reserve is a privately owned reserve situated along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park, covering an area of about 30 000 hectares.

In the midst of the reserve is Ongava Lodge, one of Namibia's best appointed game lodges. Ongava is an ideal place from which to base your activities when visiting Etosha. Accommodation comprises ten air conditioned chalets each with en suite facilities. Meals are taken in the main dining area under thatch with a view over a waterhole.

Activities include game drives in open sided 4x4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha where lion, elephant, cheetah, gemsbok, springbok, hartebeest and other animals are to be seen at many of the waterholes in the park. In addition, game drives, night drives, and walks are enjoyed on the private reserve. Ongava has resident white rhino, and Etosha has black rhino, so guests staying at Ongava have the opportunity to see both species of rhino. There is an aircraft which is usually based at Ongava, which gives guests the opportunity of flying up to visit the nomadic Himba and The Epupa Falls along Namibia's northern border with this aircraft. This can be arranged while at Ongava or in advance, and is at an extra cost.
