Sindabezi Island - Livingstone & Vic Falls - Zambia

Sindabezi is an exclusive, unique private island located some five kilometres downstream from Tongabezi. Access is over the Zambezi River by motorised banana boat, or canoe. Guests are accommodated in five thatched chalets, all with en suite facilities (some with bucket showers) and each opening onto the river on one side.

The island is frequented by herds of elephant, which often move silently around in the camp after everyone has settled down for the night. The dining and bar area are under thatch and overlook the river and the private 'beach' where volleyball is played and sundowners enjoyed. More often than not, a silver service dinner is served out on the sand, under the canopy of an African sky.
