Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is set in the heart of a mahogany forest at the southern end of Lake Manyara National Park, some two hours drive from the park gates.
Accommodation is in one of ten stilted tree houses, nestled into the mahogany trees, built of timber and makuti (local palms). Rooms have comfortable lounging areas on the decks, are ensuite with outdoor shower as well as a bath and are decorated in neutral, earthy colours with furniture and interiors reflecting the rich diversity of Manyara. Guests will have a personal African butler who will be on hand to tend to their every need.
Activities take the form of nature walks, escorted by Maasai askaris, bird walks, game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, picnic lunches and breakfasts along the lakeshore. Private dinners can be reserved on your balcony or you can join the other guests in the candlelit boma, on the deck or at the lakeshore sala. The lodge has a craft shop and a swimming pool beside which you can while away the heat of the day.
