Kleins Camp lies in the Kuka Hills just south of the Masai Mara and the Kenya border, along the ancient migratory route of wildebeest and elephant. Some 10 000 hectares of private land is set aside for the exclusive use of guests at this intimate camp in the northeastern Serengeti. Originally built for private use, the camp has ten tasteful cottages each built of local rock and thatch, their interiors augmented by traditional African design. Each cottage is en suite and has a patio that offers sweeping views down toward the plains and the Grumeti River.
Expert guides lead game drives in open sided vehicles into the Serengeti wilderness and it is on these interpretive excursions that you will experience Africa's most intact and splendid ecosystem. With private land at their disposal, guests can enjoy day and night drives and nature walks in the knowledge that there are no other humans close by.Elephants are more common here in the woodlands than elsewhere in the Serengeti and close encounters are frequent.
