In the untouched seclusion of a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti, Grumeti River Camp overlooks a by water of the Grumeti River where wildebeest plunge through the waters, running the gauntlet of gigantic crocodiles, on their annual migration.

The whimsical sweep of flamboyant tents under thatch and the vibrancy of kente cloth and local sculptured furnishings bring alive the excitement and romance of Africa. Each of the ten spacious twin bedded tents, complete with en suite bathrooms, lies along the banks of the river and hippo pools.

Interpretive game drives in open sided 4x4 vehicles and walks explore the Serengeti savannahs and woodlands, which boast the largest mass of free ranging animals on earth, including wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, eland and giraffe as well as some of the highest densities of cheetah in Africa, huge prides of lion and solitary leopards. And at night, around a starlit dinner, stories are shared of the day's game sightings and guests' experience of the majesty and exhilaration of wild Africa. The lodge has a pool, boma and game viewing deck.
