Sultans Palace - South East Coast - Zanzibar & Pemba - Tanzania

Sultan Palace is an owner run, exclusive five star hotel on the southeast coast of Zanzibar, about an hours drive from the airport and Stone Town.The main building with its splendid terrace welcomes guests into a bright lounge, whilst the first floor restaurant offers guests tastes of Swahili and Italian cuisine.A beach bar and restaurant is built right on the beach, where you can enjoy tropical fruit juices with a lunch selected from grilled fish, lobster and crab.

The fifteen Nautilis shell shaped cottages, each named after a flower and with a veranda overlooking the Indian Ocean, are set in private gardens.Each cottage is furnished in the Zanzibar style, including the carved omanite doors so synonymous with this historic island.The double beds continue the theme, with hand-painted tiles decorating their headboards, as well as the modern comforts of air-conditioning, ceiling fans, fridge, safe, telephone and hair dryer.

If you tire of the view from the rim flow pool, snorkelling and a variety of water sports are readily available including diving and deep sea fishing.
