Kaya Mawa - Lake Malawi - Malawi

Kaya Mawa is situated on Likoma Island in the northern part of Lake Malawi, one of the last remaining undiscovered areas of the lake. The lodge consists of ten exclusive cottages and a honeymoon suite.

Each cottage has a four-poster bed, a private terrace, a sunken tub and a "loo with a view". The lodge has been constructed from local materials and the restaurant is situated to allow guests 360-degree views as they enjoy their sumptuous meals. There is a pool, fed by a waterfall and the lodge offers water-skiing, sailing and windsurfing as well as day and night boat safaris.

Access is by private charter from Lilongwe with a journey time of approximately 50 minutes.
