Indigo Bay - Bazaruto Island - Bazaruto - Mozambique
The Bazaruto Archipelago is a small group of islands situated approximately forty kilometres off the Mozambican coast. The protected reefs are home to a large number of varied and interesting dive sites and divers are quite likely to see the rare dugong. The island is also home to a large population of flamingoes, large Nile crocodiles in the freshwater lakes, beautiful white sandy beaches and enormous sand dunes on the eastern shore.
Indigo Bay comprises a total of fifty rooms: twenty-four beach chalets, twenty bay view rooms and two suites.
Inter-leading rooms (suitable for families) are available and all rooms are air-conditioned, fully mosquito screened, with en suite facilities, mini-bar, satellite TV and telephone access. The main restaurant specializes in local Mozambican Portuguese cuisine whilst the living area is a great place to relax with a drink from the bar.
Indigo Bay offers a myriad of activities from fishing (big game fishing), scuba diving, snorkelling, island hopping, sunset cruises, water-skiing, wake-snake, wake-boarding, knee-boarding, dune boarding, horse riding, guided island drives, scenic flights, star gazing, beach games and bird watching. For those who wish to simply relax: swim in the warm, calm and protected Indian Ocean, take a stroll on the soft sandy shore or float on the infinitive salt-water swimming pool.
Complimentary non-motorized water sports are pedalos, kayaks, wind gliders, wind surfers, aqua jump and hobie cat sailing so there is plenty to do!
