Xakanaxa - Okavango - Botswana

Xakanaxa Camp is situated inside the Moremi Game Reserve, an area renowned for its concentration and diversity of wildlife. The camp overlooks the permanent waters of the Okavango Delta and the tents and dining room are raised on wooden platforms to afford visitors a magnificent view of this wildlife heritage. The twelve spacious safari tents, all comfortably furnished are fully en suite and offer superb views of the surrounding waterways. Lighting is with paraffin lamps and candles.

Xakanaxa offers the unique experience of both land and water activities. Game drives are offered in the Moremi Reserve, as well as boat trips in small, motorised boats on the channels. Mokoro trips are not offered as the water is deep and there are resident hippos and crocodiles. Guests have an opportunity to do a small amount of walking on some of the islands.
