Deloraine - Rift Valley & Lake Victoria - Kenya

Deloraine is situated on the western side of the Rift Valley near Nakuru and within easy reach of the Valley's lakes. This magnificent old homestead lies in rolling gardens with manicured lawns and a great profusion of plants tumbling into one another and down the garden to form a fairy tale of secret places. Everywhere there are secluded places where one can relax with a good book, collect one's thoughts or catch up on some letter writing.

Guests are accommodated in six elegant bedrooms furnished in the inimitable style created when the house was built. Each bedroom had double or twin beds and their own bathroom. The wide verandas both upstairs and downstairs overlook a croquet lawn and the gardens. Weather permitting, breakfast and lunch are served on the downstairs veranda. Dinner is a four to five course affair brimming with delicious, homegrown fare and congenial conversation.

Deloraine is a delightful place to relax for a night or two in between wildlife areas.There are horses to ride, a tennis court and masses of hospitality whilst the Rift Valley lakes - Baringo, Bogoria and Nakuru - are all within easy reach.
