Naibor Camp Mara - Masai Mara - Kenya

Naibor is located on the southern end of Ol Kinyei ranch between the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and the Loita Plains. A seasonal camp which has the incomparable benefit of being in an exclusive area for walking and game drives during the day and night, The Ol Kinyei area is a Maasai group ranch of approximately 200,000 acres. The southern part of the ranch consists mainly of classic open plains with scattered acacia savannah, quartzite hills and a few perennial springs.

Naibor itself is in a beautiful grove of fever trees, overlooking a natural mineral salt lick area, to which the game animals come. The camp consists of five doubles and one twin;  all large tents with an open veranda, made from pale khaki canvas and insect proof white mesh. The en-suite bathrooms have flush toilets and large, traditional, hot water safari bucket showers. The tents can be completely opened up so they are cool during the day and zipped up for siestas.

Each day is different and depends entirely on what the guest wishes to do. Guests can walk all day meeting ip for a bush breakfast or picnic lunch; track wildlife; find honey; game drive at first light or at night or come back to camp for breakfast after walking or an early game drive. Tea is normally brought to the tent at first light as the dawn chorus starts as the stars begin to fade. Guests can also take a day out with a picnic lunch and go into the game reserve, only an hours game drive away, taking chairs and tables for a secluded picnic.
