Each of the five room categories has a different design scheme, with corresponding colours and materials. The rooms range from comfortable and spacious superior rooms to the sumptuous emperor villa, which features aspects of all the elements and has its own private beach.
The hotel offers a wide variety of restaurants, with the main restaurant looking out over the pool and towards the sea. Ginkgo offers a magnificent breakfast buffet whilst dining specialities include table d'hôte, gala dinners on alternate evenings and buffets themed as Mauritian, Asian and Mediterranean.
La Bastide, the beach bar and grill is very popular at lunchtime with those who enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. Situated under large parasols on a decked terrace, by the water's edge, looking out towards the northern islands, it is also open for à la carte dining four evenings a week.
For those looking for more elegant dining, Karma House is the culinary flagship of the hotel. A superb open terrace overlooking the pool adds to the feeling of space, also reflected in the open-style kitchen and the walk-in wine cellar.
For those who love seafood, Abalone is open in the evenings and offers fresh seafood daily.
Grand Bleu is Legends' pool bar, offering light lunches, pancakes in the afternoon and cocktails in the evening. Comfortable sofas, surrounded by tables and chairs for meals make this a relaxed and attractive place to dine.
For drinking, guests can choose the Spirit Lounge & Bar or The Banyan Pool, Bar & Grill the former being more formal whilst the latter is situated outside under some of the oldest banyan trees on the island.
The hotel has two swimming pools; the main pool, in the centre of the hotel and close to the main restaurant, overlooking the bay. The second pool is in a quiet spot right at the very edge of the hotel, in front of the Banyan Pool, Bar & Grill.
There is a wide range of water sports available including windsurfing, pedal boats, kayaks, sailing, snorkelling, glass-bottom boat rides and water-skiing. Speedboat rides, scuba diving (P.A.D.I.) and big game fishing are available at extra cost.
In addition, the hotel offers gym, beach volley ball, table tennis, petanque, a driving range and floodlit tennis courts as well as Tai Chi and Yoga classes. Massages, mountain biking, pool tables, hire of golf balls and electronic games are also available at extra cost.
The Kids Club has three qualified hostesses to entertain youngsters under the age of eleven whilst for children under three, a babysitting service is available. Childrens' lunches are provided in the main restaurant or in the Mini-club and children's dinner is in the main restaurant early each evening.
