Il N'gwesi is a unique organically designed ecolodge overlooking a busy waterhole. It comprises of six spacious bandas, including two linked rooms and a honeymoon suite. The lodge is the epitome of pure ecotourism, with earth and deadwood rooms and solar powered water heaters. Local tribes people host visitors and the lodge directs 100% of its profits back into the community. All the local guides are highly trained, adding scientific interpretation to their rich knowledge of the local flora and fauna and ancient tribal lore in this fragile semi-arid wilderness of northern Kenya. Game drives, guided bush walks, camel rides along the sand rivers and lessons in herding and hunting are just some of the activities on offer. Small enough for a family or group to rent in its entirety.
