Tangala is one of the last remaining authentic experiences in South Africa, and has been in the hands of the same family for more than 3 generations.

Tangala has created a feel of Africa long forgotten and the team strives to give all guests the ultimate African bush experience. The campconsist of a central dining and lounge area with full bar and a swimming pool with observation deck. Please note that Tangala is one of only a few electricity free camps in South Africa. They pride themselves in personalized, owner managed service and authentic simplicity.

The five twin bedded thatched chalets have been designed to provide the ultimate in rustic luxury.  All chalets have en suite facilities and their own private viewing patio. Meals are social occasions and a time to listen and share fascinating tales of the bush or to sit back and reflect on the day passed. Meals include full breakfast/brunch, high tea, snacks and a boma dinner.

Rangers carry rifles on all game drives and excursions and all guests are escorted to their chalets after dark. Two game drives in open vehicles include coffee, tea and snacks in the morning while a romantic sundowner interrupts the night drives.

Wildlife activities here enable guests to 'touch, taste and smell' Africa.  Your day begins with a game drive of approximately four hours, accompanied by a qualified ranger and tracker.  Guests not only get close to Big Game but also learn to identify birds and trees, taste edible fruit and follow in the footsteps of animals great and small.
