Jao Camp is situated in the private 60,000-hectare Jao Reserve, bordering on the Moremi Game Reserve. Jao can offer both land and water activities, depending on the fluctuating levels of the Okavango's floodwater. The area has a superb variety of habitats, ranging from permanent waterways and lagoons on the one extreme to dry Kalahari grasslands on the other. The camp has nine unique and stunningly beautiful rooms, featured in Architectural Digest in March 2002. The camp is raised on wooden decks and each room has thatched roofs with canvas walls, en suite facilities as well as an outdoor shower.
