Norfolk Hotel - Kenya - Nairobi

No other hotel in Kenya has as rich a history as the Norfolk. When Abraham Block first opened its doors on Christmas Day 1904, it was to spearhead traditions of hospitality in East Africa, which are still unmatched today. As the city of Nairobi evolved as a capital around the hotel, it became a meeting place for the early pioneers, army and civil officers and most famously as the starting point for the great hunting safaris of that era offering hospitality to many of noble birth and Hollywood fame. The Lord Delamere dining room, terrace and bar have always been at the centre of Nairobi's social life.
