Borana Lodge is situated in the middle of a private ranch in the Laikipia area. The area is pristine wilderness and at the same time a working cattle farm. The ecology of the ranch is very carefully managed and as a result it is an excellent wildlife experience. The lodge itself is unique in design and was the first of its kind in Kenya, accommodating only twelve guests at a time in extreme comfort. The Borana chefs prepare delicious meals while the highly qualified guides look after guests on an individual basis. It is not uncommon to see the Big Five in one day.
