Ol Malo - Mt Kenya - Kenya

Ol Malo ranch is situated in the Northern Frontier District of Kenya. This semi desert area is split by the Uaso Nyiro River, which rises high on the slopes of Mount Kenya and wends it way through the acacia plains before emptying into the vast Lorian swamp. Ol Malo is set high on a cliff overlooking the river with huge fever trees adorning its banks. From the living area and rooms looking over the cliff hanging swimming pool the views of unspoilt Africa are breath taking.

Colin and Rocky Francombe own this stunning five thousand acre ranch/game sanctuary.Both of them are from old Kenya settler families and have a vast knowledge of the wildlife and tribes of the northern areas. They are charming hosts who spoil you whilst you relax in this lovely homestead build of natural rock with thatched roofs high above a much-frequented waterhole and salt lick.The guest facilities consist of two double and two twin rooms all with bathrooms en suite, private verandas and massive windows.In between game drives it is possible to visit a Samburu manyatta or take a camel ride to a sundowner destination in the bush.
