Loisaba Wilderness - Kenya - Mt Kenya - Laikipia - Mathews Range
A vast and unspoiled area of spectacular beauty, the same size as the Ngorongoro Crater, Loisaba Wilderness is a private wildlife conservancy on the edge of the Laikipia Plateau bordering the Northern Frontier District. Accommodation consists of the lodge with seven rooms, Loisaba Cottage with two bedrooms and the Star Beds, unique to Loisaba. These are reached on one or a combination of foot, horse or camel. Each star bed comprises a raised, handcrafted wooden platform partially covered with a thatched roof so that the "Mkokteni" beds can be wheeled out onto the uncovered area for a night under the stars, or left under the shelter of the roof.
