The four-star Princess Bora Lodge offers discerning guests comfortable accommodation in a totally unspoilt environment. Bungalows with king-size beds, large bathrooms, fans and verandas offer guests peace and privacy. The luxury villas accommodate four guests, with two in a loft area. The comfort villas are a little cosier and designed for two people. The excellent restaurant offers a selection of French, Malagasy and European cooking. The activity centre will assist with a selection of island tours as well as snorkelling, a PADI dive centre, water-skiing, windsurfing and fishing. The hire of bicycles, mopeds and pirogues also allows for self-exploration of the tropical island of Sainte-Marie. The owner, Francois Mayer, is passionate about conserving whales in this part of the Indian Ocean and runs serious whale-watching trips between July and September.
