Mowani Mountain Camp - Namibia - Damaraland
Mowani Lodge is the newest lodge in the Damaraland area and is built in the Twyfelfontein Conservancy. The name is taken from the Mowane word meaning "place of God" and here in the peace and tranquillity of the mountains, you find the truth of its meaning. The lodge has been built on a high spot and offers commanding views over the ancient landscape. The public areas of the lodge are all under thatch creating the feeling of an African village whilst guests are accommodated in East African style tents with en suite facilities. From the lodge guests have access to many places of interest including the Brandberg Mountain, the rock art at Twyfelfontein and the Petrified Forests. The area is also home to the black rhino and desert elephant amongst other desert fauna.
