Alphonse Island lies 450 kilometres due south of Mahe Island. The small island is surrounded by a coral reef and is accessed by a sixty-minute flight from Mahe. The Alphonse Island Lodge offers accommodation in one of thirty chalets or villas, all of which are air conditioned and en suite. Relax by the pool, play tennis, have a drink at the poolside bar or sample the colourful cuisine in the restaurant - your time is yours to do as you will. Apart from being one of the best areas in the world for fly-fishing, specifically for bonefish, the diving at Alphonse is superb. In addition, snorkelling, canoeing, windsurfing are all available or you can take a pedalo, boat excursions will take you to nearby islands or you can walk or cycle round the island with the resident naturalist.
