Cousine Island - Seychelles - Outlying Islands
Cousine Island (and next door Cousin) lies just off Praslin. Access is by a ten-minute helicopter flight or an exciting fifteen-minute boat trip, depending on the tide. Each of the four beautiful suites is privately located with its own access to the beach. Rooms are fully air-conditioned, have bath, shower, dressing room, veranda, kitchen, sitting room, TV and phone and private garden. The colonial style lodge also has a pool, bar and lovely open-air dining room with views across to Cousin and Praslin. The island is not for those looking for an action packed holiday since it does not offer wall-to-wall activities and evening entertainment. It is for those looking for a private holiday in a luxurious environment with birds, turtles and giant tortoises for company instead of humans! Dinners are delicious with the emphasis on a mix of Creole and international cuisine aimed to suit most tastes. Diving and fishing are available by prior arrangement as they are outsourced at nearby Praslin. Snorkelling you can do a few metres from your door and the island is small enough to be explored by foot in an hour or so. Alternatively, you can relax and soak up this piece of paradise! At the end of February 2006 Cousine launches its brand new wellness spa, The Beach House Wellness Retreat.
