Ndutu Safari Lodge - Serengeti - Tanzania
Welcoming, friendly and comfortable, the privately owned Ndutu Safari Lodge, is tucked away off the beaten track in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the middle of the southern Serengeti. Ndutu offers great service; excellent home-cooked food and the thirty-four en-suite stone cottages nestle unobtrusively under a canopy of giant acacias overlooking Lake Ndutu. Animals wander through the lodge grounds, so even when you are not out on a game drive you can still view the wildlife from the comfort of your veranda. Ndutu has been a favourite with professional wildlife photographers for the past four decades, and many visitors return year after year.

In February and March, millions of wildebeest gather in this area to calve and if you are fortunate enough to visit here at this time, you will witness some spectacular sights.On game drives in the area you are likely to see prides of lion which inhabit the whistling thorn bush around the lake as they lie in wait for the migratory animals. Or maybe you will be lucky enough to see a leopard high in an acacia tree with its kill.
