Phinda Mountain Lodge - KwaZulu Natal - Coast - South Africa

Phinda Mountain Lodge has twenty twin bedded (all beds can be converted into double beds) air-conditioned chalets each with en suite bathroom comprising bath, shower, separate w.c and hand basin. All chalets have a personal bar and private deck.

Paved pathways lead down the mountainside from the main lodge to the chalets. The guest dining area, lounge, shaded terrace and bar open out onto cool verandas with spectacular views of the Lebombo Mountains and bushveld beyond. A reception area and sophisticated curio shop welcome guests. Additional facilities include a dramatic open-air boma, fully equipped air-conditioned conference room for up to seventy delegates, shaded swimming pool and lookout deck for relaxation, bird and game watching.

Twice daily game drives in open Land Rovers, nature walks and excellent birding in the Phinda Private Game Reserve. Riverboat cruises and canoeing along the Mzinene River. Visit to the local community school and clinic. Optional Phinda Adventures, which are available at an additional cost, include breathtaking coastal flights, beach excursions including snorkelling and scuba diving (open water one certificate must be produced), deep-sea fishing, turtle viewing (season Nov/Dec/Jan) and horse riding.
