Three Tree Hill Lodge - Natal Midlands - South Africa - KwaZulu Natal - Interior Region
Andrew Ardington and David and Nicky Rattray of Fugitives Drift, have created a lodge where the history of the Anglo-Boer war unfolds itself in a stunning secluded environment. Three Tree Hill Lodge overlooks the battlefield of Spioenkop and adjoins the Spioenkop Nature Reserve, a reserve that contains white rhino, giraffe, zebra, eland, kudu, numerous smaller antelope and 270 bird species. The lodge has been constructed using mostly wood and iron to resemble the housing kits brought out for the army from Britain in the nineteenth century. Each of the six twin cottages has its own bath, shower and veranda, with magnificent views of Spioenkop. A viewing deck, swimming pool, wonderful walks and library offer complete relaxation in this unique African setting.
