Phinda Game Reserve - Walking Trails - South Africa - KwaZulu Natal - Interior Region
Walking safaris ensure a thrilling up close and personal experience of the bush. All walks are led by qualified rangers who have had intensive specialised instruction at Inkwazi, the ranger training school at Phinda Private Game Reserve. On a walking safari, the safety of guests is the highest priority and dangerous animals are avoided. Each walking safari begins with a comprehensive demonstration on how to behave when encountering animals. Enjoy a daily five-hour morning walk, a short pre-sunset walk and night drive combination. Luxurious en-suite tents offer flushing toilets, comfortable beds, hot bucket showers, hearty brunches and delicious dinners around the fire. Four-day trails can accommodate a maximum of eight people in four tents. Reasonable standards of fitness are a prerequisite but distances depend on wildlife encounters.
