Founders Camp consists of five chalets and one suite, all secluded in dense riverine forest overlooking the Sand River in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The air-conditioned chalets feature en-suite bathrooms, private wooden decks and an outdoor shower. Blending with the tree canopy, thatched split level dining and viewing decks are suspended above a quiet bywater of the river, where superb meals of Pan-African cuisine are served amidst a chorus of African birdsong. A wooden walkway leads to a secluded thatched sala (lookout point) for unobtrusive game and bird viewing, and the pool and covered lounge offer additional areas to relax in. At Founders Camp, guests also have the choice of moonlit bush dinners and private bush breakfasts. Dinners are served in a clearing in the bush under a star-studded sky. The spectacular settings, visual impact and fairytale atmosphere of dining under the stars make for an unforgettable African experience.
