Makweti Safari Lodge - South Africa - Limpopo Province
Makweti Safari Lodge is situated in the malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve in the heart of the Waterberg wilderness. Crafted from natural rock with teak decks overlooking the rugged Makweti Gorge, the main lodge is a synthesis of sublime style and comfort. Accommodation is provided for just twelve guests in secluded thatch and stone suites. Each has been uniquely decorated with beautiful antique treasures, with private facilities, open fireplace, and its own deck affording spectacular views of the surrounding area. The 33,000 hectares of wilderness is home to lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, rhino, cheetah, sixteen species of antelope and the rare brown hyena.
