The River Club - Zambia - Livingstone And Victoria Falls
Although The River Club is strictly speaking not a game lodge, the Zambezi National Park is found just across the waters and lion and other wildlife can often be heard in the evening. This classic camp, designed by its owner, has ten luxury-thatched chalets and two honeymoon suites overlooking the Zambezi. Each unit has its own viewing deck, and superb open-air, yet private, bathroom facility with Victorian-style tubs. The main house includes a dining room, lounge, library and swimming pool that has a magnificent view over the river.
Activities include everything from bungee jumping, swimming, fishing, river surfing, white-water rafting, abseiling, parachuting, micro-lighting, helicopter flights over the Falls, horse riding, elephant riding, clay pigeon shooting and croquet on the lawns. Rich bird life is to be found here and hippo and crocodiles are regularly sighted along the river's edge.
