Nsolo Bushcamp - Zambia - South Luangwa National Park
Norman Carr Safaris operate four bush camps in the South Luangwa and clients can walk between the four camps during their walking safari. Luwi Camp has four rustic grass and thatch huts set in the shade of a grove of trees close to Luwi Lagoon, home to large populations of hippo and crocodile. This remote area of the park has no roads so game viewing is all on foot and the animals are never disturbed by vehicles. Nsolo Camp is three hours stroll down the river from Luwi. The four rooms are set on raised decks with fronts open to the bush around them.
Kakuli Camp, overlooking the confluence of the Luwi and Luangwa Rivers, has only five classic safari tents. The area is thick with game and never quiet as huge numbers of hippo frequent this stretch of river. Mchenja Camp is a short distance up stream of the Luangwa from Kakuli, accommodation is in wooden thatched huts and game viewing can be either by vehicle or on foot.
