Natureways Canoe Safaris - Zimbabwe - Mana Pools - Lower Zambezi

Canoe safaris are a spectacular way to explore the mighty Zambezi River, above and below the Victoria Falls. As you paddle your canoe downstream the river winds its way through forests filled with abundant plant and animal life. A journey at a gentle pace, these safaris offer an opportunity to get close to wildlife while they are drinking and cooling off in the river. During the dry winter months of June, July, August and September animals are drawn to the water by the lack of rain. Animals often seen are elephant, buffalo, waterbuck, impala and bushbuck while the channels and islands offer secluded hideaways for many species of rare birds. Accommodation on these safaris tends to be in small dome tents with bush loos and bucket showers. These camps are erected each day prior to your arrival from a day on the river.
