The area is best known for its large populations of elephant that congregate in vast numbers during the winter months.
Lion, leopard, wild dog, buffalo, and all the plains game can be enjoyed here. The rare and elusive sitatunga antelope, red lechwe, hippo, and crocodile can be found in the surrounding marshes. Activities are varied with visitors enjoying day and night game drives, walks and game viewing by mekoro (local canoe).
