The Savute Marsh is a remnant of a vast inland lake, cut off from its main water supply by the same movement of the earth's tectonic plates that brought the Okavango Delta into existence. Described as "a wildlife haven", Savute is home to an incredible array of animals with the best months for game viewing being November/December and February/March; whilst at the same time visiting birds swell Savute's resident 300 species.
