REGIONS : Nairobi [Kenya]

NAIROBI [Kenya]

Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, is a cosmopolitan and lively city, the largest between Johannesburg and Cairo.

It is unusual in such a bustling city, to find a national park full of wild animals, yet this is the setting for the Nairobi National Park. Despite a startling backdrop of city skyscrapers, it is a haven for lions and rhino as well as zebra and many antelopes. The suburbs of Karen (named after Karen Blixen of Out of Africa fame) and around Ngong Hills are still where many of Nairobi's ex-pats live and are the venue for some wonderful country house hotels that are ideal venues for first night stops on holiday.
