NILE CRUISES [Egypt]
The Nile, Africa's greatest river, is the lifeblood on which Egypt has depended since the beginning of time. For more than nine hundred and sixty kilometres from Abu Simbel to Cairo, this river follows the course of a world virtually unchanged since biblical times.
Over 5000 years of history, Egyptian country life, and the river itself are all enjoyed from a floating hotel base in the unique atmosphere of one of the world's greatest outdoor museums. A number of programmes are offered ranging from three to seven night cruises on the scheduled route between Luxor and Aswan or vice versa. The cruise vessels are fitted with every modern convenience, and programmes include visits to the main historic sites and monuments along the banks of the river. Cruises for children under 12 years old are not recommended.
