ITINERARY

Day One

Make your way to O.R. Tambo International Airport in time to connect with your flight to Maun. On arrival in Maun you will be met and assisted onto your light aircraft flight to Kanana.

Kanana Camp (Setswana for 'paradise'), is situated in the remote inner reaches of the Okavango Delta. The camps eight tents are built on stilts to ensure a wonderful view of the floodplains, as are the common areas of the camp. The area is excellent for walking and mokoro trips.

By game viewing on foot and by mokoro, one avoids the intrusive noise of vehicles and therefore will experience the bush in its true form. The quiet will help your ears to pick-up the previously unheard sounds of the bush usually hidden by the mechanical hum of the car.

Motorboat excursions to the Xo Lagoon are offered when the lagoon is in flood and game viewing in 4 x 4 vehicles is also available.

Spend three nights at Kanana including all meals and snacks while at the camp, certain drinks, laundry service and scheduled activities as offered by the camp.

Day Four

After breakfast this morning you will be transferred to the airstrip in time to connect with your light aircraft flight to Kasane Airport. On arrival in Kasane you will be met and transferred to Muchenje Safari Lodge.

Muchenje Safari Lodge borders on the renowned Chobe National Park. The lodge is set on the escarpment edge and has been designed to take full advantage of the breathtaking views over the Caprivi Strip. Twenty guests can be accommodated in twin bedded thatched chalets, all with en suite facilities and private verandas.

The main lodge is a spacious, open-sided thatched building that houses the dining area, lounge, bar, upstairs viewing deck and reception area as well as a curio shop. Below the lodge there is a waterhole that is floodlit at night and can be seen from both levels of the lodge. The feature swimming pool is built amongst natural rock formations and provides a tranquil setting for guests to relax during the heat of the day.

Activities offered by the lodge include walks and games drives as well as boat trips on the Chobe River.

Spend three nights at Muchenje Safari Lodge including all meals, certain drinks, park fees and all game activities as offered by the camp.

Day Seven

You will be collected from Muchenje Safari Lodge this morning and transferred to Victoria Falls Hotel.

Regarded as the ‘Grand Old Lady’ of Victoria Falls, the beautiful and world-renowned Victoria Falls Hotel boasts one hundred and sixty one rooms in two separate wings, all with en suite facilities and modern conveniences. Each room has been individually decorated with plush period fabrics and Victorian furnishings.

Despite being a large hotel, the Victoria Falls Hotel has maintained an atmosphere of elegance, style and class. Light lunches and high tea may be enjoyed on the terrace, with spectacular views of the Zambezi Gorge, the Victoria Falls Bridge, spray from the falls, and Zambia set out in front of you. Formal dinners may be taken in the elegant Livingstone Room or a slightly more relaxed meal can be had around the swimming pool at the Jungle Junction.

The village centre is a short walk from the hotel and guests have direct access to the Falls through the gardens. The gardens are spacious and well maintained - ideal for a little croquet or lawn bowls!

Spend two nights at Victoria Falls Hotel including breakfast.

Day Nine

After breakfast this morning you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport in time to connect with your afternoon flight back to Johannesburg.
