PEOPLE & CULTURE FASCINATE ME

Exotic tribes and customs... Pulse Africa would like to introduce you to the kaleidoscope of people and cultures that exist in and around Africa .... tribes and customs that were once only accessible via literature and talks by explorers.

"I'm the kind of person who believes that meeting different cultures and people is like adding vibrant colours and movement to an otherwise standard canvas of a landscape painting. It is the people and their cultures that give the destination its sense of life and essence of being, and interacting with others is of vital importance in helping me find my place in this world."

Not to be missed if you love people and culture...

How could a market in Egypt be responsible for the founding of the United States? Khan el-Khalili, once known as the Turkish bazaar during the Ottoman period was built in 1382 by the Emir Djaharks el-Khalili in the heart of the Fatimid City. Perhaps this very market was involved in the spice monopoly controlled by the Mamluks, which encouraged the Europeans to search for new routes to the east and led Columbus, indirectly, to discover the Americas, who knows?
